There has been some early team news come through this afternoon for Chelsea’s game against Liverpool this evening.

The Blues have travelled north to take on Jurgen Klopp’s side in what is a big game for both sides and for the neutrals to watch.

Mauricio Pochettino spoke to the media yesterday afternoon and in some embargoed quotes that came out late last night, the Argentine spoke about how he was expecting and hoping to have striker Nicolas Jackson in his squad for the game.

Jackson’s Senegal were knocked out of the AFCON earlier this week and the hope was that he would fly back to London in time to make the game.

However, it is not going to happen and Jackson has been ruled out of the game tonight due to not being allowed to fly home last night for some reason, which was the initial schedule.

It will certainly be a loss for Pochettino, who was clearly planning with Jackson at least in his squad tonight.
