Chelsea hijack two Barcelona targets this summer

Chelsea’s manager Thomas Tuchel In an interview last week stated that the team needs to be fast in making transfers when the takeover is complete as the blues would need to strengthen the squad for next season.

Tuchel confirmed that Chelsea loanees Conor Gallagher and Armando Broja would get back into the team for pre-season and they would know if the duo would continue at the club.

With the exit of Antonio Rudiger, Chelsea top target to replace the German have been Jules Kounde but the Blues can not make a move for the 23-year-old if the sanctions placed against them are not lifted. With the team under a new management, They are confident that the sanctions would be lifted in a matter of weeks and they would start negotiations. It is very clear that Barcelona wants Kounde but they don’t have the financial capability to compete with the blues at the moment.

Robert Lewandowski is also a priority for the Blues. Though Lewandowski is very clear that he wants only a move to Barcelona in the summer. Chelsea can still convince the 32-year-old with an interesting salary and make a deal with Bayern once the sanctions are lifted.

The Blues are not satisfied with Romelu Lukaku and the Belgian might make a move back to Italy this summer as he is not ready to stay on the Chelsea’s bench next season.
