Chelsea target finally agrees to join Todd Boehly club

Ivan Toney has refused to rule out leaving Brentford this month, opening the door for the likes of Chelsea to try and get a possible deal done.

Regarded as one of the best strikers in the Premier League after a stunning season last year for Brentford – Toney has been in the transfer headlines for the past 12 months as all the big clubs eye up a potential move.

CHELSEA are one of the sides that are reportedly desperate to sign the striker and bring him to Stamford Bridge – but it seems that the big striker has other plans and is keen to stay put this transfer window.

Brentford boss Thomas Frank even recently insisted he is “99 per cent confident” that his star man will NOT be sold during the January window.

But Toney has now admitted: “You can never predict when is the right time to move elsewhere, but I think it’s obvious I want to play for a top club.

“Everybody wants to play for a top club that is fighting for titles. Whether it’s this January that is the right time for a club to come in and pay the right money, who knows?

“But my main focus is to do what I do on the pitch, and let the background work take care of itself.”

Chelsea have the money to get this deal done if Ivan Toney does leave Brentford this transfer window – but we are sure that he is going nowhere and will stay at the club until at least the summer.

However – if CHELSEA make an offer of £100 million to get a deal done – then it will be very hard for Brentford to turn down such a massive offer for their man that is for sure.
