Chelsea have reportedly sent one of their executives to Brazil to activate the release clause in Estevao’s contract. The winger is one of the most exciting talents in South America, and the Blues are not willing to waste any time in tying the forward down to a long-term contract before any other clubs pounce to strike a deal with Palmeiras.

Todd Boehly has forked out over £1 billion on new signings since his arrival at Stamford Bridge, with the club changing their recruitment process significantly during that time. The Blues have focused on signing some of the most promising youngsters from around the world that will have their development nurtured by the club.

Some new signing had already proven themselves at the very top level, such as Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo, whilst others were only just breaking through with their respective clubs.

Andrey Santos and Deivid Washington are among the those to have been lured to the Premier League from Brazil, and Chelsea’s spending spree in the country has not yet concluded. According to SPORT, Mauricio Pochettino’s side are ‘committed’ to activating Estevao’s £51.5million release clause.
