Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is reportedly keen on signing Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling this summer.
The Blues finished third in the Premier League last campaign, but still lacked the cutting edge in the final third of the field.
Tuchel may look to address the concern this summer, and The Telegraph’s Matt Law claims that Sterling is a target for the German.
The England star will enter the final year of his contract this summer, and he has yet to negotiate terms over a possible renewal.
He managed 26 goal contributions for the Cityzens last term, but he was limited to just 65 minutes per appearance.
The 27-year-old could be eyeing a guaranteed starting spot in the prime of his career which the Blues may offer him.
Talking at the FT Business of Sport US Summit, Sterling said: “If there was the opportunity to go somewhere else for more game time I would be open to it at this moment in time. As I said, football is the most important thing to me – challenges that I have set myself from a young age and dreams as well.
“As an English player all I know is the Premier League and I’ve always thought you know maybe one day I’d love to play abroad to see how I would come up against that challenge.”
He is valued at a hefty £75 million by Transfermarkt, but reports claim that he could be priced away for around £50m.
Sterling has also been linked with London rivals Arsenal, but the lack of Champions League football is a blow for them.
