Thierry Henry sends transfer message to Chelsea target

Chelsea target Christopher Nkunku has had a staggering price set by RB Leipzig.

According to the Independent, the club have claimed they would only accept moves of minimum £100million, potentially pricing potential suitors out of a deal.

The Frenchman has been remarkable for Leipzig this season, scoring 35 and assisting 19 in 50 games in all competitions.

He put the world on note with his Champions League performances earlier in the campaign, despite the club’s exit from the competition in the group stages.

He scored seven goals in a group consisting of PSG and Manchester City, scoring a breathtaking hat-trick against the English champions.

His rapid rise to the top caught the eye of France legend Thierry Henry, as he claimed he loves watching him play.

However, a move to a European powerhouse looks to be put on hold, with the Independent reporting he is happy to remain at the Bundesliga club this upcoming season.

They also claim that this decision has potential to set up another big transfer saga in the coming years, if the France international continues to develop at this rapid rate.

The Blues were reportedly keen on bringing in Nkunku this summer, despite rumoured interest from the likes of Manchester United and PSG.

Bringing in Nkunku would provide a versatile asset for the Blues to add to their attack, with the Frenchman able to play down the middle or on the right.

His ability to provide goals has improved drastically in the last 12 months, a skill Chelsea’s attackers appear to be lacking.

The Independent claimed rivals United were one of the sides who were pushing hardest for the move, as they lost out to Liverpool in the pursuit for Benfica’s Darwin Nunez. However, if a deal doesn’t get done this summer, Chelsea should definitely announce their interest in what could be an immense battle for his services.
