Chelsea beat Arsenal in the race to sign Inter Milan high-rated player

Chelsea and Arsenal are two top clubs in the race for free-scoring Inter’s midfielder, Cesare Casadei this summer transfer.

The Blues thought they had stole a march on their London rivals by bidding £7million for the talent, but that offer was swiftly rejected.

Chelsea have top-up there bid for the 19-year-old midfielder after the initial bid rejected for about £17m by Inter.

Now, the Gunners are believed to be considering hijacking the deal that’s closer to Inter’s valuation of the player.

The Serie A giants are said to be hoping for as much as £17m for the player – despite him having NEVER played in the first team yet.

Casadei was recently talked up by Italian national team coach Maurizio Viscidi as one to keep an eye on.

“Chelsea are seriously working on Cesare Casadei deal. He’s the next top young target [born in 2003] after Carney and Slonina, Chelsea want to try again after opening bid rejected by Inter.

Negotiations will continue but Inter will try to keep him this summer.”
