In this article we shall discuss if Chelsea midfielder, N’Golo Kante the first player to win Premier League titles back to back with different clubs

N’Golo Kante has missed out of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar due to injury as he wasn’t included in the France squad

Kante performed excellently well in the 2018 World Cup but missed out in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar due to injury.

Kante joined Chelsea in 2016 after he won the premier league title with Leicester City and win the premier league title again with Chelsea the following season in 2017.

No he isn’t actually

His past teammate Mark Schwarzer, Australian Goalkeeper playing for Leicester City also won the Premier League back to back. He won with Chelsea in 2014–15 and the next year with Leicester City 2015–16, but with no league appearances, he didn’t play a single match in both the seasons! His another feat is that, he’s also the first and only non-Briton player to cross 500 Premier League appearances

Another player is Eric Cantona. Though technically he didn’t win the ‘Premier League’ but he won 3 titles in 3 years with 3 different teams! He won the French Division 1 with Marseille in 1990–91. Next year he went to Leeds United and won the English First Division in 1991–92, predecessor of the Premier League. He then moved to Manchester United and wore the iconic number 7 and won the inaugural Premier League in 1992–93 Premier League started in 1992. Before that, it was referred to as English First Division. So he didn’t win the ‘Premier League’ but he did won the English title twice back to back

There are actually many players who have won with different clubs, but not in back to back seasons. Well then technically, Kante is the first player to win back to back Premier League titles with different clubs, where he actually started for the team and played a huge role in both campaigns, a driving force
