Chelsea set for double signing of high profile players as first summer transfer

Moises Caicedo is a player every single club in the Premier League would love to have in their midfield, and Chelsea are hoping he trades the Amex for Stamford Bridge this summer.

Enzo Fernandez is who Chelsea are going to build the midfield around after spending €120million on his services from Benfica, and Caicedo could be the perfect midfield partner.

Brighton may allow Caicedo to leave this summer if the right bid comes in.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are looking to sign an energetic midfield who can cover a lot of ground this summer, and Moises Caicedo is someone to keep an eye on.

Speaking on the situation on AMP, Romano had the following to say about Chelsea and Caicedo, “Chelsea priority is to sign someone in midfield with energy and who can run a lot next to Enzo Fernández, keep an eye on Caicedo”.

Chelsea have been following Moises Caicedo for some time but are no longer alone when it comes to interest. Arsenal have heavy interest, as do Manchester United.

Arsenal are favourites for Caicedo as things stand but it’s unlikely the club will be able to afford both Declan Rice and Caicedo in the same window. Manchester United may not have funds until their takeover is complete.

This could give Chelsea a boost in the race, and they may be able to pay the fee Brighton are likely to ask for too which is expected to be around £80million.
