Transfer Done Deals: Paez set to join Chelsea, Chelsea willing to swap Kovacic with Onana

Done deal: Norwich sign Ashley Barnes

Championship club Norwich City have signed Burnley forward Ashley Barnes on a free transfer. The 33-year-old will join the Canaries on 1 July when the summer transfer window opens. Barnes, who scored 54 goals in 293 appearances for Burnley, has signed a two-year deal at Carrow Road after ending a nine-year stay at the Clarets. Barnes, who also had a lengthy spell at Brighton, helped Burnley win promotion to the Premier League this season.

Paez set to join Chelsea in 2025

Independiente del Valle director Santiago Morales has confirmed that 16-year-old Colombian wonderkid Kendry Paez will join Chelsea in 2025. “Today, I can say that Kendry Paez, in two years’ time, will go to Chelsea,” Santiago Morales told El Canal del Futbol. “We received offers from Borussia Dortmund and Manchester United, Chelsea were the team that showed the most interest.”

Chelsea willing to swap Kovacic with Onana

Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is willing to swap Mateo Kovacic in order to sign Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana. That’s according to Inter Live, who say Blues “really want” to bring in the Cameroon goalkeeper and could make a “concrete attempt” this summer. Onana, who is excellent with the ball at his feet and recently impressed on the way to the Champions League final, is reportedly a target for the Blues this summer. Kovacic could be used as a makeweight in the deal. The Croatian is not likely to extend his contract at Stamford Bridge, which is set to expire at the end of next season.
