Chelsea have now agreed deal in principle to sign Estevao Willian, a highly-touted Brazilian sensation often compared to Lionel Messi.
The deal with Palmeiras is valued at around £60 million, making Estevao one of the most expensive South American teenagers ever.
The agreement includes significant add-ons that could raise the total cost above the initial figure.
Estevao Willian, who is just 17 years old, has caught the attention of several top European clubs, including Barcelona and Real Madrid.
However, Chelsea moved swiftly to secure his services. The youngster has already made a significant impact at Palmeiras, recording seven goals and three assists in 21 appearances across various competitions.
Due to FIFA regulations, Estevao will only be able to officially join Chelsea after he turns 18 next year. Therefore, his move to Stamford Bridge will likely be completed in the summer of 2025.
